What did the Supreme Court rule in McCulloch v. Maryland?

XioGonz:

In McCulloch v. Maryland (1819) the Supreme Court ruled that Congress had implied powers under the Necessary and Proper Clause of Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution to create the Second Bank of the United States and that the state of Maryland lacked the power to tax the Bank.-www.thirteen.org/wnet/supremecourt/antebellum/landmark_mcculloch.html

The supreme Court case McCulloch established that congress had power to establish a national bank and the state ( in case, Maryland ) did not have power to tax branches of the federal government that are carrying out power legal in the Constitution. Hope this helps ❤️❤️❤️
