kaneki:

Thanks remi :) is that 3x - 160 in that right corner of the left intersection?

Angle:

Like this one? |dw:1613008006666:dw|

Angle:

If the picture is correct, then this is known as a pair of "Alternate Interior Angles" Here's some more information about these kinds of angles: https://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/alternate-interior-angles.html#:~:text=When%20two%20lines%20are%20crossed,opposite%20sides%20of%20the%20transversal.

Angle:

Basically: 3x - 160 = x is the equation you want to solve

Angle:

Do you know how to solve algebra problems like that @remi2019 ? 3x - 160 = x

kaneki:

dang...u got one big brain lol

remi2019:

yes that is what it says

remi2019:

no i dont know how to solve it

remi2019:

?

Angle:

ok, so the rules for working with problems like that is called -> whatever you do to one side, you do to the other so if I Subtract "x" from both sides 3x - 160 = x -x -x

2x - 160 = 0 does that make sense / have you seen this before?

remi2019:

no

Angle:

remi2019:

?

remi2019:

but wouldnt it =180 not 0

Angle:

=180 is a different type of problem it would = x this time but I tried to move the x to the other side of the equals sign

remi2019:

ok

remi2019:

so what would the answer be? and how did you find it

Angle:

2x = 160 "Two times our missing number is equal to 160"

Angle:

what's the missing value?

remi2019:

80???

Angle:

YOU GOT IT

remi2019:

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH
