Heres a story im writing about people traveling the oregon trail.

Oregon Trail

May 1,1836

The time is mid-day me and my lover struck with everlasting love have decided to leave for Oregon.

We must leave for Oregon because our love is forbidden amongst our parents. We leave from Independence Missouri unbeknownst to our parents if my mother and father were to ever find us again, I hope they’ll finally accept our love.

We leave with 636 pounds of food, two yokes of oxen and our few possessions. We set off saying goodbye to our fellow town's folk wishing to see them again in another life.

May 4, 1836

The sun is just starting to rise from the east as my lover starts to wake.
