Cutie728:

Marta’s customer bought 4 large oranges at $0.75 each and 8 small oranges at $0.50 each plus tax was a total of $7.49. She used t to represent the amount of tax. Explain her errors in the diagram.

Devum:

"Explain her errors in the diagram." Is there a picture of something thats missing?

Cutie728:

Cutie728:

that is the picture

Devum:

Well what I see right off the bat is that the 7.49 should be the total and not one of the pieces that's added with the other pieces to determine the tax. Another thing I notice is that there was supposed to be 4 large oranges for 0.75 cents and 8 small oranges for 0.50 cents.

Cutie728:

Thx
