Question

I wanted to record a cover of "This is Home" by Cavetown with my ukulele on my laptop since my mic is currently broken, but every attempt my ukulele kind of overpowers the audio or a certain part of the vocals over powers the mic on the laptop, so is there a way to fix that or do i just play softer and sing quieter -^-

Maybe try singing quieter and playing softer? Then if it doesn't work maybe try a different sound recording app?

Yes, my computer used to do that too. Something that helped was to sit away from the mic. If you go into a small room and set your computer further away, the sound will still reach the computer without overtaking the sound in the recording. Let me know when you finish the song! I would love to hear it! My sister plays the ukulele! :P
