The picture below shows a box sliding down a ramp: A right triangle ABC has measure of angle ABC equal to 90 degrees and measure of angle ACB equal to 62 degrees. The length of AB is 10 feet. What is the distance, in feet, that the box has to travel to move from point A to point C?

so would it be 10cosec62 then??
?
You never placed an image.

We want to find the hypotenuse AC. \(\sin 62^o = \Large\frac{\text{opposite}}{\text{hypotenuse}} = \Large\frac{10}{{AC}}\) \(\overline{AC} = \Large\frac{10}{\sin 62^o}\) And if you know that csc or cosecant(x) is 1/sin(x) then we get \(\overline{AC} = 10\csc 62^o\)
