Have you ever seen a block of butter? Just imagine that your block of butter is in this shape of a triangular prism.
ok
and if we cut that block of butter in half they will be 2 trangles
So I've been trying to run all the different ways to cut it, and there's really only two numbers that come. You're correct if you it in half, you'll get a triangle which has 3 sides. But what if you cut it horizontally through the triangle face, what shape would you form then? Something like this |dw:1613569839927:dw|
a rectangle ig
Perfect! And how many sides does a rectangle have?
4
and so the answer is 4 right
Yes because 4 sides is more than 3 sides. If you need help visualizing the cross-sections this can help.
ok thx again and one more thing i think i got it correct az but can u go over it
It would be my pleasure!
Which of the following shapes has an apex? Select all that apply. sphere cone cylinder cube pyramid isnt it a b and c
No. An apex is the vertex of that figure. It would be that "pointy point" I was alluding to earlier. Which of those shapes would have that?
