You have $10 1 bottle of snapple costs $2 You can exchange 2 bottle caps for 1 new bottle of snapple. You can exchange 4 empty bottles for 1 new bottle of snapple. How many bottles of snapple can you get (after all of the drinking and exchanging) with your 10 dollars?
Dear lord let me get some pen and paper
Also do the empty bottles have caps on them?
When you buy a bottle -> you drink it and now you have 1 cap and 1 empty bottle
Alright
Wait this isn't bad
1 moment pls
so for the first part where it says 2 bottle caps for 1,it would be 5,but where it says 4 empty bottles for 1,it would be 2.5 to be exact,so if the parts are dif,wut i said would be correct.......................... i think-
2 caps= 1 bottle 10 caps= 5 bottles 8 empty bottles= 3 new bottles 5+3=8 You can get 8 bottles
Every 4 bottles is 1 new bottle, you only get 4 twice, so 2 are left
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @KiWiPoP1 2 caps= 1 bottle 10 caps= 5 bottles 8 empty bottles= 3 new bottles 5+3=8 You can get 8 bottles \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) but its 4 empty bottles soo wouldn't that be 2.5,oh estimated it would be 3-
@KiWiPoP1 don't forget about the caps that can be exchanged the 3 new bottles have 3 caps on them too
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Angle @KiWiPoP1 don't forget about the caps that can be exchanged the 3 new bottles have 3 caps on them too \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) oh god
(tbh not even sure how you got 8 in the first place)
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Angle (tbh not even sure how you got 8 in the first place) \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) It made sense to me ;-;
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @dude \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) 🙂✨
Infinity~
With $10, we can buy 5 snapples. 5 snapples = 5 bottles + 5 caps 5 bottles = 1 snapples + 1 bottle left 5 caps = 2 snapples + 1 cap left Total number of snapples so far is 5+1+2 = 8 With the 3 new snapples we get 3 caps and 3 bottles. Add this to our remaining bottle and cap. 4 bottles = 1 snapple 4 caps = 2 snapples Total number of snapples so far is 8+1+2 = 11 With the 3 new snapples, we get 3 caps and 3 bottles 3 bottles = no snapple + 3 bottles remaining 3 caps = 1 snapple + 1 cap remaining Total snapples is now 11+1 = 12 With the 1 new snapple, we get another bottle and another cap. Add in our 3 remaining bottles and 1 cap. 3 bottles = 1 snapple 2 caps = 1 snapple Total snapples is now 12+1+1 = 14 And we have 2 caps and 2 empty bottles 2 bottles = 2 bottles remaining 2 caps = 1 snapple Total snapples is now 14+1 = 15 We have one bottle and 1 cap. Add that to our remaining 2 bottles. We have 3 empty bottles which we can't trade in anything for. You can get a total of 15 snapples.
@AZ with the perfect solution, well done :)
2 bottle caps= 1 full bottle which means 2 divided by 10 is 5 so 6 bottles 4 empty bottles= 1 full bottle which means 4 divided by 10 is 2.5 to be exact and in the whole problem where the hell do we do an exchange-
After typing the word `bottle` so many times, the word looks like it's spelled funny haha
uhh oh dear lord i think i got 3 bottles
AZ damn perfecto- but i agree with wut salt said "oh dear lord"-
or it might be infinite bruh
@IhelpUuHELPme you had been confusing yourself with trying to do division
I'm most likely never going to do another question like this again
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Angle @IhelpUuHELPme you had been confusing yourself with trying to do division \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) pretty much XD
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @KiWiPoP1 I'm most likely never going to do another question like this again \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) agreed-
Yeah that image dude posted got me thinking
let me show my work
I was memeing I didnt try solving
Thank you for the interesting question, Angle!
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @dude I was memeing I didnt try solving \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Yeah yeah yeah, but my brain wants whatever assurance it can get, frail egos ykyk
i copy-pasted the problemo and explanation-
Bruh im gonna fo it again
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @AZ Thank you for the interesting question, Angle! \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) it was interesting but way more brain devoering-
my brains messed up but is it 3 angle?
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @AZ Thank you for the interesting question, Angle! \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) I'm glad you think it was interesting x'D My dad showed me the question saying I can ask it to my students. I got 12 on my first try. It's also technically an elementary school level question - but I'm sure the children had physical manipulatives to work with.

Brainly killed my creativity
im sorry but i have to ask this,ut subject you wanna be a teach in,idk but I'm guessing math just bc this was a math puzzle XD

okok convo over, I don't want to spam people with the constant notifications
okok
Yeah its infinite
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @SaltTheLoser Yeah its infinite \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) ikr
cause now im doing the same thing over and over
and my guess was right, last comment from me,nice math puzzle tho,its fun devoering our own brains when we had a choice not to XD
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @SaltTheLoser cause now im doing the same thing over and over \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) You prlly went wrong somewhere, but dw, I'm going with infinite now for no reason at all
smh ok
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @SaltTheLoser smh ok \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) A for effort
