the equation would look like this : 24^2 + b^2 = 40^2

Daddymaterialz:

so the answers 40?

lilaspie7:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Daddymaterialz so the answers 40? \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) no. You need to find what b is.

Daddymaterialz:

so its 16?

Daddymaterialz:

or does it need to = 40

lilaspie7:

first u need to square 24 and 40

Daddymaterialz:

did that already

Daddymaterialz:

it was 2176

CripQUEZZ:

Ok so if the problem is 24^2 + b^2 = 40^2 Wouldn’t you jus solve it like a simple equation and get the variable by its self to figure out what (b) is?

Daddymaterialz:

nope
