Maxine:

CocoCammron99:

Yes do you knoW

jkmiec26:

Wat does p equal?

CocoCammron99:

Max do you know what the p equals

Maxine:

p=4

jkmiec26:

Yes good job

CripQUEZZ:

Ok this it pretty easy first set it up 6(4 -6p) = -8(3+3p) Ok first what you wanna do is distribute into the parentheses So well do 6(4 - 6p) first So distribute the (6) to the (4) and (-6p) So it’ll be like 6 x 4 + 6 x -6p So it now be 24 - 36p = -8(3 + 3p) So do the same distribute the (-8) to (3) and (-3) So -8 x 3 + -8 x 3p Now it’s 24 - 36p = -24 - 24p Now get your variable in this case it’s (p) on one side of the (=) sign So do the opposite of what it’s doing and add (-24p) to (-36p) -36p + 24p = -12p Now it’s -12p + 24 = -24 Ok so now you wanna get the variable by itself so first do the opposite of what (24) is doin so subtract it from both sides 24 - 24 = -24 - 24 So the (24) cancels out and your left with -12p = -48 Then do the opposite of what (-12p) is doing and divide it on both sides -12p/-12 = -48/-12 So the (-12) cancels out on one side and then u simplify for (p) -48/-12 = 4 So that means P = 4
