What role can expected salary after graduation play when deciding what college you want to attend and/or area of study you want to pursue?

Well, we have to consider what the cost of college is and if you will be able to afford it and pay it off in a timely manner after graduation with your after graduation salary. Additionally, the major you end up picking will follow you for the rest of your life unless you decide that you want to go back to school and major in something else. But the biggest take away here is the fact that you should pick a major that will be useful in not one field but many so that you have something to fall back on and pay off any loans you may have with what you can earn after your graduate.

Additionally, this is just a side note, keep in mind it doesn't matter where you go to college as long as your performance is well. Your FIRST employer will be the only employer to look at where you went, after that everything becomes experience based (resume).
