Use the image below to answer the following question. What relationship do the ratios of sin x° and cos y° share? (1 point) The ratios are opposites ( negative 7 over 25 and 7 over 25 ). The ratios are reciprocals ( 7 over 25 and '25 over 7 ). The ratios are both identical ( and 7 over 25 ). The ratios are both negative ( negative 25 over 7 and negative 25 over 7 ).

@jhonyy9
sin x = 7/25 cos y = 7/25 sin /cos = ?
no clue, i missed a huge chunk of school
i need huge help
As @jhonyy9 mentioned, both sin(x) and cos(y) are the same value This is because sin(angle) = opposite/hypotenuse sin(x) = 7/25 and cos(angle) = adjacent/hypotenuse cos(y) = 7/25 The opposite side is the leg furthest from the reference angle, while the adjacent side is the closest leg to the reference angle. For instance, if x was the refence angle then we can see that |dw:1614114015584:dw| which helps us set up the sine ratio mentioned
A useful rule is that sin(x) = cos(y) if and only if x+y = 90 Similarly, sin(y) = cos(x) if and only if x+y = 90
