By answering questions,  problem solving is the one that mainly boosts it. 
But in general if you're active and post alot you should gain it pretty fast.

Just answer a lot of questions 
do not reply to spam post saying that it's spam or for any reason at all because then you are spamming 
do not make accounts to medal spam yourself, give yourself medals.

Something people do is fan everyone on the user list which gives them fans and increases their engagement and teamwork. 
but mainly, just answer a lot of questions, nicely, without giving direct answers.
