Everything shut down. By everything I mean: the stores, restaurants, and schools. I felt like I was walking through a ghost town. Why was everything shut down? Well Covid-19 showed up that's why.

Covid-19 took the world by storm. Locking everyone in their houses, making it so that people have to wear masks, and social distance. If I could describe the time of Covid in one word that word would be that it sucks. Covid-19 sucks. Every person in this world had their lives turned upside down. Parents became teachers, teachers had to teach from home, and students spent more time with their family then they had ever done before.

One way that Covid-19 changed me was I used to think that nothing could be better than staying at home with my family... Now I feel like my trash goes out more than I do. Another way is that instead of wanting to go to a school of fashion I now want to go to a college in japan and play volleyball.

I had been home-schooled for most of my life so I was used to being around my family 24/7. The work for my grandma and uncle picked up. They are cleaners for a bank, and they used to only go and clean once a day. When Covid-19 hit they increased the same job to cleaning three times a day. So, my brother and I are watching school online while riding with them to work and seeing first hand the empty town of Astoria. One thing I learned from Covid-19 was that being stuck with family can have its ups and downs. And that a little TLC is much needed. Now people are much kinder to each other, as they come out quarantine, and that's what makes the world a better place!

Everything shut down. I mean quite literally everything! The stores, restaurants, and schools. I felt like I was walking through a ghost town. Why was everything shut down? Well, Covid-19 showed up that's why. Covid-19 worldwide havoc. Locking everyone in their homes, and changing societal norms as we know them. From wearing facial masks to standing six feet apart. From schools to small businesses. The one word that comes to mind when describing this virus, is "it sucks". Every human being felt the negative effects of Covid. Parents became teachers, teachers lost their jobs, and students became virtual learners overnight.
Before Covid, I used to crave spending time with my family... Now I feel like my trash goes out more than I do. I used to dream of going to a fashion school, but now I was to attend college in Japan. I had been home-schooled for most of my life so I was used to being around my family 24/7.
My uncle and grandfather work at a bank. They are apart of the cleaning crew. Their workload tripled after the pandemic. So, my brother and I are watching school online while riding with them to work and seeing first hand the empty town of Astoria.
With all the bad Covid brought, it also brought some good. More people now understand the gift of humanity, and how important it is to socialize with others. With small businesses being in danger everyone came together to help in any way they can. Now people are much kinder to each other, as they come out of quarantine, and that's what makes the world a better place!
