Question

Is this good so far? I have to do a Fairy Tale rewrite for my writing class and I chose do rewrite Red Riding Hood. Heres what I have so far: Raising my hand over my eyes, looking at the sky. It’s such a bright, beautiful day… Smiling, I skip down the trail, through the woods. Tail wagging, ears twitching. Butterflies and ladybugs jittering about. Wind drifting softly through the sky. Not one speck of white fluffiness against the blue wall that lays overhead. Fish jumping and swimming in the nearby pond. Frogs croaking. Birds chirping. Rabbits running and bobbing around. How did this all turn around so fast? When did all the animals hide? When did the sky become a dark grey? When did it start raining? I´ve been wondering this for the past few days, wondering where it all went wrong…



I shift once again, trying to get comfortable, for the millionth time. Has it been days, months, years? I don´t know how long it´s been since they took me out of the forest. Now I’ve been captive in a jail cell in their base. ...When will they let me out..? What did I do wrong? Suddenly some footsteps come down the hall, coming closer towards me. I sit there silently, not moving, not breathing. They open the cage door and come into the cell. What are they doing? Why after all this time they come down here? I start freaking out a little bit but I try to hide it.

Two guys come in, both wolf, though they look about fifteen years apart in age. The younger, cuter one looks like he’s in his early twenties. The older one looks like he’s in his late thirties. The older one opens his mouth, ¨Axel, get her up.¨ The younger one, Axel, walks towards me. My eyes widen and scoot back until I hit the wall. Alex smiles at me. ¨Its okay. Just stand up.¨ I stare at him and he starts walking towards me again. He gently grabs my arm and helps me up. The older man rolls his eyes and turns towards the door. ¨Come on.¨ He says. Axel looks at me and smiles. ¨Well come on then.¨ He starts towards the door. I hesitantly follow both of them.

The older man leads Axel and I to a set of stairs. What´s happening..? My ears turn side to side, listening for any other sounds from within the house.
