What would you expect the optimum pH for an enzyme in your stomach to be? Is it the same or different from the optimum pH expected in the rest of your body? Why or why not?

oh well uh tell them to Google what the pH of the stomach is as they should already know, there are different enzymes and they all have their own range of pH in which they work best (called their optimum pH). Now if that pH differs by a lot, then the enzyme won't work at all (a fancier way to say that would be that the enzyme denatures)

so the pH of an enzyme in the stomach has to have an optimum pH in that range

AZ:

Then ask them to search up the pH of the blood and remember what I just said? The pH has to be in that range of that area for it to be optimum otherwise it'll break down and won't function at all. So is the pH of the blood the same as the stomach? That should help answer the second part of the question :)
