This site can help you https://www.mathway.com/popular-problems/Algebra/207613

amourniyaa05:

ummmm its blocked lol

jhonyy9:

what you need to do with ?

jhonyy9:

x^2 +25y^2 =

animeobsessionn:

what does x and y stand for

amourniyaa05:

idk nn ion feel like workin it out

jhonyy9:

or you need creat a perfect square ?

amourniyaa05:

?

jhonyy9:

x^2 +(5y)^2 = what you need adding there to get a perfect square like this (x +5y)^2

jhonyy9:

(x+5y)^2 = x^2 +2*x*5y +(5y)^2 any idea now ?

jhonyy9:

who asked is offline

jhonyy9:

@Laylalyssa any idea ?

jhonyy9:

to not modifie the function you can adding subtracting multiplie divide but both sides

Florisalreadytaken:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @animeobsessionn what does x and y stand for \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) they are just unknown variables.

jhonyy9:

how many you need adding to both sides for on the left side to get this perfect square ?

Florisalreadytaken:

ayo jhonny he left already. allow it fam.

jhonyy9:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @jhonyy9 (x+5y)^2 = x^2 +2*x*5y +(5y)^2 any idea now ? \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) here is above wrote

jhonyy9:

@AZ can you pls explain it more understandably - ty in advance

jhonyy9:

i just supposed this wan be the question on this posted problem

amourniyaa05:

im back

amourniyaa05:

sooooo

AZ:

I believe the question is just asking us to find a number to complete the square. And so what Jhonyy said is correct. It's a simple formula and so I'll just add color so you can see it better: We want to add x^2 + 25y^2 by something so that way we can simplify it as (a+b)^2 \(\ (\color{red}{a} + \color{orange}{b})^2 = \color{red}{a}^2 + 2\color{red}{a}\color{orange}{b} + \color{orange}{b}^2\) So as Jhonyy showed you here \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @jhonyy9 (x+5y)^2 = x^2 +2*x*5y +(5y)^2 any idea now ? \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) We're looking for what the 2ab term is because we have x^2 and 25y^2 \(\ (\color{red}{x} + \color{orange}{5y})^2 = \color{red}{x}^2 + 2\color{red}{x}\color{orange}{(5y)} + \color{orange}{(5y)}^2\) \( = x^2+ 2\color{red}{x}\color{orange}{(5y)} + (25y^2)\) so what is that 2ab term in a^2 + 2ab + b^2 what is 2 * x * 5y

amourniyaa05:

idk

AZ:
