Wadfasd:

A group of students were surveyed to find out if they like bike riding and/or roller skating as a hobby. The results of the survey are shown below: 80 students like bike riding 20 students like bike riding but do not like skating 90 students like skating 40 students do not like bike riding Make a two-way table to represent the data and use the table to answer the following questions. Part A: What percentage of the total students surveyed like both bike riding and skating? Show your work. (5 points) Part B: What is the probability that a student who does not like bike riding also does not like skating? Explain your answer. (5 points)

Wadfasd:

I made the 2 way table

Wadfasd:

almost what goes in what area?

simsharrison:

Can you ss the table that you made?

Wadfasd:

THEY WANT TO GIVE ME A CESOR

simsharrison:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd THEY WANT TO GIVE ME A CESOR \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) cesor?

Wadfasd:

Sorry bad spelling

simsharrison:

ok well do you know how to calculate percentages?

simsharrison:

or well finding a percentage of something?

TETSXPREME:

ok you have to make a chart of who likes skating and who doesnt likes skating

simsharrison:

@TETSXPREME how would you do this?

TETSXPREME:

Because it says you have to make a chart

Wadfasd:

I know how to calculate percentages

Wadfasd:

I dont know what goes where in the table.

Wadfasd:

This is my table but idk where each thing goes

TETSXPREME:

ok make a table about who likes bikes and who doesnt and who likes skating and who doesnt

simsharrison:

thats what im confused on, the data they give us, wouldn't the people that like bike riding, bbe the same as the people who don't like skating?

TETSXPREME:

you have to do the math to figure out those things

Wadfasd:

@TETSXPREME ??? The 4 things go in 1 table but where does each thing go in the table. Like where does each number and subject go?

TETSXPREME:

wym?

Wadfasd:

nvm

TETSXPREME:

ok so there are 120 students

TETSXPREME:

60 of them like skating and riding bikes

TETSXPREME:

so you do 120/60 as a percent

TETSXPREME:

do you know how to do that ?

simsharrison:

50% @wadfasd

TETSXPREME:

yea so 120/60=50%

TETSXPREME:

thats the first part

TETSXPREME:

the second part is basically the same thing but with different numbers

Wadfasd:

I figured it out

TETSXPREME:

there are 40 students in all but 10 of them do not like skating so you do \[10/40 \]

Wadfasd:

actually @simsharrison its 73.9%

TETSXPREME:

so you dont need no more help ?

Wadfasd:

no

TETSXPREME:

there is more than one answer

TETSXPREME:

so ur finished ?

simsharrison:

are you sure you have everything figured out?

Wadfasd:

@Angle I know your a mod, so am I aloud to post a question asking people to subscribe to my YouTube?

Wadfasd:

@simsharrison yes

TETSXPREME:

ok yw for the help

simsharrison:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Wadfasd @Angle I know your a mod, so am I aloud to post a question asking people to subscribe to my YouTube? \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) no, its against the rules, but you can tell them in the all subjects chat at the bottom right. :)

TETSXPREME:

and also angle is offline

Wadfasd:

@TETSXPREME oh

simsharrison:

yw dude, have a gr8 day.

Wadfasd:
