help me plz

itzzalyssa:

sophia333:

To find the surface area add all areas of 6 faces-

sophia333:

So basically surface area is the sum of all areas

sophia333:

So just add :>

itzzalyssa:

tht didnt work

sophia333:

huh?

itzzalyssa:

didnt work

CripQUEZZ:

Surface area is just. L x W x H so multiply the Length Width and Height

sophia333:

breh-

CripQUEZZ:

Srry no u add them

snowflake0531:

so, there are in all 6 sides in a rectangular prism, but you just need 3 and multiply it by 2 do you know how to figure out the area of the 3 different sides of the prism?

snowflake0531:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @CripQUEZZ Surface area is just. L x W x H so multiply the Length Width and Height \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) volume-

CripQUEZZ:

So you add the L + W + H srry

sophia333:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @CripQUEZZ So you add the L + W + H srry \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) yea

itzzalyssa:

itzzalyssa:

ill brb im going to lunch

CripQUEZZ:

We can also label the length (l), width (w), and height (h) of the prism and use the formula, SA=2lw+2lh+2hw, to find the surface area.

snowflake0531:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @CripQUEZZ We can also label the length (l), width (w), and height (h) of the prism and use the formula, SA=2lw+2lh+2hw, to find the surface area. \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) yes that

snowflake0531:

so, the base of the prism is : 16 * 9, which is 144 the right side is 6*9, 54 the face that facing towards you is 16*6, which is 96 add them up, 144+ 54 + 96=294 then, multiply that by 2, because there are 2 of each faces, so, it's 588 but then because there are is the part where it bumps up, you just have to do the side multiplied by 2, because the top is already accounted for so, that face would be 6*9, which is 54, 54 *2=108 so, add 108 to 588

itzzalyssa:

696

itzzalyssa:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @snowflake0531 so, the base of the prism is : 16 * 9, which is 144 the right side is 6*9, 54 the face that facing towards you is 16*6, which is 96 add them up, 144+ 54 + 96=294 then, multiply that by 2, because there are 2 of each faces, so, it's 588 but then because there are is the part where it bumps up, you just have to do the side multiplied by 2, because the top is already accounted for so, that face would be 6*9, which is 54, 54 *2=108 so, add 108 to 588 \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) its 696

snowflake0531:

*shrug whatever the calculator says

itzzalyssa:

still says its wrong

snowflake0531:

oof, must've done something wrong in the middle then btw, did you read what i wrote?

itzzalyssa:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @snowflake0531 oof, must've done something wrong in the middle then btw, did you read what i wrote? \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) yuh and i got 696 but it said it was wrong

itzzalyssa:

mk hold on

itzzalyssa:

ok i got it thx
