Okay so we know that `The Diary of Anne Frank` was written as a diary during WWII. The Frank family were Jews, and because they were Jewish, they had to go into hiding. If you look in scene 1 and you read the last paragraph titles `Anne's Voice.` it gives some detail on what the Jewish had to to do prevent themselves from being killed by Nazis. It says all the things they had to do (such as wear yellow stars) and things they weren't allowed to do (such as go to the movies). They were clearly treated poorly, and we know this because Hitler killed many of them. They were to follow strict rules if they even wished to survive. Does this help any?

So, it's AFTER the war. I agree with the second thing, just make sure you explain what exactly caused them to move back east. You could mention the Proclamation of 1763 to make your answer stronger.

Same as the second thing you posted as an answer just say that because of the Proclamation of 1763 which prohibited settling west of the mountains, Colonists who were settled west of the Appalachians were forced to move back east
