Because the play Romeo and Juliet takes place 100s of years in the past, there are some differences in our loyalty values that we do not share w/ them today. What are these differences? Explain using examples from the play.

Well, in Romeo and Juliet, Juliet is a child, 13 years old. Romeo is much older. Today, relationships like that are frowned upon. Also, in the story, obviously Juliet loves Romeo, but her parents set her up for an arranged marriage. While they do still exist, we don't typically arrange marriages for our children. Speaking of 13....Juliet was 13 when she was going to be placed in an arranged marriage. Today, children that age do not get married. People begin to marry in their 20s and 30s. I don't have the actual text so i can't cite the examples for you though, so sorry about that.
