Which two statements are true? A. The definitions for electric force and electromagnetic force are identical. B. Electric forces and magnetic forces are different aspects of a single electromagnetic force. C. The operation of a motor depends on the relationship between electric and magnetic forces. D. A magnet must be moving for a magnetic force field to exist.
If you figure out the answer, please help me. :)
A is kind of right but it's not the answer we're looking for because they're not completely identical, just part of the same tree. Therefore this is false. B Electric force and electromagnetic force are indeed different aspects of a single electromagnetic force - making this statement, true. C The operation of a motor depends on the relationship between electric and magnetic forces - this is true. The motor converts the electrical energy into mechanical energy, right? D A magnet must be moving for a magnetic field to exist. - this is false, because we already know that a magnet by itself can attract and repel electrical charges by itself without touching anything. It's the default.
Oh! Okay, thank you so much for helping me!
No prob :p
