XioGonz:

The Black Death (also known as the bubonic plague) was a plague pandemic which was all over Europe from the year 1347 to 1352 CE. This plague killed an estimated amount of 25 to 30 million people in Europe. The disease was caused by a bacillus bacteria and carried by fleas on rodents and it originated in central Asia. It was taken from there to the Crimea by Mongol warriors and traders. Yes we can still get the bubonic plague to this day, although it is rare.
