what makes the British army more experienced at fighting a war than the colonists?

I mean they were packed with war supplies such as Guns, Gun powder, bullets, etc., They've fought overseas before, claimed and captured ppl to do their bidding/took their land, and made it their own. They made a lot of money off of the colonists and other places so they were very wealthy. Also, back then so many ppl were afraid of the British bc they were powerful and well known for having the strongest army-(Since we talking about the British we can say "Navy") in the world at that time period.

Colonists were not very rich, they didn't have such strong army's and they were under the full control of the British at the time so it was pretty hard for them to fight back.
