plz help
how many units is ur base. how many untis is ur height?
uh.....
count the units of base and height and substitute those inside this given formula of area
@Laylalyssa any idea ?
i was helping put i never got a response?

sorry my teacher wants us to do it a way that i don't understand
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Mikaela1509 sorry my teacher wants us to do it a way that i don't understand \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) how do they want it done?
what is this way ? please post it
I thought u jus find the base and height and do the formula -no?
it's like they want you to multiply base times height and then multiply it by 1/2 and it's really confusing me
lol thts wht i thought \_(-_-)_/
yea thts just the formula you are finding area
how long is your base? how high is your height?
uh idk i'm not good at this stuff T-T
isn't that like - how u do it? like count it or no?
π³πΆπ½ββοΈ
yes lay
ok great, so can you do the same thing to find the height ?-
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @HaydenwH yes you count the ones in the middle \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) ik i was asking if she can do it
I'm still so confused T-T but i get it a little bit better now tho
where ever the 'peak' is thats where you do your height
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Mikaela1509 I'm still so confused T-T but i get it a little bit better now tho \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) ok so, you know the height right?
bc we jus found the base
A=1/2 x 8 x ? once you find the height u can plug it in and work the equation.
So count this to find the height
uh.....would the height be 8 or sum?
omy, no thats the base remember
If you look at the screenshot I jus put, u can count those lines to find the height
the base was 8, the height is how many units up the triangle is 'floor to roof'
uh 4?
where did u get 4
uh from counting up the side of the triangle.......T-T
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Mikaela1509 uh from counting up the side of the triangle.......T-T \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) no, count where I put the lines, that would make it easier -
find the middle of the triangle, where the point is, and count how many boxes it is from ,the point, to the bottom
maybe darker lines lay?
2?
there u go
Now plug those numbers into the formula
yes now plug it in and solve A=1/2 x 8 x ?
so confusing uh um.....
which would be 8 x 2 which is?
A= \[\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }\times8\times2\]
but do u get it?
yeah sort of thank you for walking me through it and helping me:)
did u find the answer?
uh not really but I'm working on it! #confidentlol
alright whats 8 x 2?
16 UwU
right so now you multiply tht by 1/2
16 times 1/2 is umm 8 right?
yes
gOoD jOb
so 8 is the answer?
yes the answer is 8
ok thank you guys so much!!
np
can you kindly close this now if you have no further questions :)
yes i can
Bye good job
thank you
