Well, I'll tell that friend that it wouldn't hurt to at least try and apply for one. Not everyone is gifted with a scholarship so that doesn't mean you shouldn't apply for a school or college.

First, ask them, "what do you want to achieve in life?"
With a Scholarship you can achieve almost anything, go to any college. Even get a good job, instead of being a lazy couch potato that you are right now. You can earn money and who knows even maybe be rich.
