A pair of equations is shown below: y = 6x − 4 y = 5x − 3 Part A: In your own words, explain how you can solve the pair of equations graphically. Write the slope and y-intercept for each equation that you will plot on the graph to solve the equations. (6 points) Part B: What is the solution to the pair of equations? (4 points)
Hello @teressa24 How would you solve the two equations if you were graphing it? Do you know that the solution to the two equations is where they intersect?
no
so basically when you're solving it by graphing you graph each equation and the place where the two lines cross each other or intersect- that's the solution
Does that make sense? also the equations are in the form of y = mx + b m is the slope and b is the y-intercept
Were you able to answer part A now? We can use https://www.desmos.com/calculator to help answer part B
ok
