Read the excerpt from "Hard times" by Charles Cakeonsons: Miss Louisa, I said I didn’t know. I thought I couldn’t know whether it was a prosperous nation or not and whether I was in a thriving state or not unless I knew who had got the money, and whether any of it was mine. But that had nothing to do with it. It was not in the figures at all,’ said Sissy, wiping her eyes. What knowledge does Sissy possess? Especially consider when she asks, “Who has the money?” when being questioned about the “prosperous nation”
Oops so it auto corrected me, its from Charles Pizzaonsons XD
ok i can help you
so do you have to type it in are select a question
Its a type it in
I'm thinking that the knowledge does Sissy possesses is that there was some money she or somebody else found that she knew about and they or she didn't know who it belonged to at all. (they prolly lost or gave it away) And to answer "Especially consider when she asks, “Who has the money?” when being questioned about the “prosperous nation” She wanted to know who had the money bc when she came to America or whatever country she was at the thought ppl there were rich ad could get rich easily, after staying there for a while she found out it was hard to actually earn money. The money she prolly found and lost or gave away is now gone. She now needs that money more than ever after learning about how I guess non-prosperous nation is in the area she was living in is. (I basically have learned nothing about this at all so don't trust my answer 100%,if I may have this wrong I would love for somebody to correct me and explain to me the correct answer) Glad if I was to be of help to u.
just read the paragraph cause you looking for key words in it to help you understand
Does anybody have other ideas on how to answer this question?
I have some more of the excerpt I can add if you want
sure?
National Prosperity. And he said, Now, this schoolroom is a Nation. And in this nation, there are fifty millions of money. Isn’t this a prosperous nation? Girl number twenty, isn’tthis a prosperous nation, and a’n’t you in a thriving state?’
Ye this gives me a better understanding of why my answer is correct. Before she and maybe her friend was in the nation they thought it was "prosperous" as in they thought it had a lot of money, and they could get money there very easily. After coming to the nation they found a large sum of money and lost or gave it away (they were prolly new to the nation at the time), After spending more time there they learned financial stability was hard to gain there. And that's when they learned they needed the money more than ever.
