RiverCrest:

Hey I'm writing a story (its still in the works) and i was wondering if i could get advice on this: Elliot sat down in the woods surrounding his home. He looked up in the speckled light of the trees with a breath of fresh air that filled his lungs. Elliot leaned his head against the rough trunk of the sturdy oak. His hair fell down to his shoulders and noticed how the black shimmered. He smiled slightly as he usually did. Elliot then placed his hands underneath his own head. The light felt warm against his face as the speckles danced around like fireflies in the night. He had a red shirt with shorts that stopped at the knee. The shoes were white tennis shoes that were well taken care of but also well loved. Footsteps softly echoed through the air. Elliot sat up and straightened his back. He turned his head over in the direction of the footsteps to see his brother, Alex. He wore a Light brown shirt with black jeans. The shoes were black boots that bunched up the bottom of the jeans. The hair was neatly tied back into a neat ponytail to keep it out of his face. “I see you've decided those shoes huh?” Alex questioned with an unusual flick at the end. Elliot laughed in response to the question with a bit of gusto. The leaves rustled a but as the wind picked up around the two. Elliot offered his twin a seat, of course not to be rude. They were family after all. Alex sat down next to him with a calm perplexity and scrunched up eyebrows. “You alright? You usually have out your wings at this time of the day,” Elliot quizzed his brother. Alex calmed his face a bit, realizing certain parts were tense. He rubbed his neck and slouched a bit more and lifted his knee to his chest and put the other on a branch. “The banquet went fine.. Just had to put them away and didn't have the energy to drag them out after all that flying.” Alex said with a kind of dull tone. Alex stretched his arms up in the air with a yawn. Elliot leaned back against the tree and looked back up at the spotted leaves. Birds slowly started to sing out their usual tunes. Some chirps differed from others and some indifferent tones. Alex looked down to notice a dandelion with blue seeds at the stem. He delicately picked it up at the root, as to not damage it as a whole. Ellliot glanced at the weed he was holding, blew at the seeds at the top, and gave a shout but stout laugh. Alex glared at his brother with a gruesome stare that sent shivers down the spine.
