an someone please help me with this math homework please am in 7th grade https://ibb.co/qBCMjR3 and when your done answer the question here is the answer key for the question that I gave you https://ibb.co/x7vXJnp
we want the LATERAL surface area so we have to find the area of the sides but not that bases That means we have to find the area of the square and two different rectangles
LATERAL surface area is just the area of the sides and not the bases since this is a triangular prism, the triangles are the bases
so we have a square area of square = side * side the side is 4 what is the area of the square?
16
Good now we have two different rectangles one rectangle has a length of 4 and width of 5 the other rectangle has length of 4 and a width of 3
area of rectangle = length * width what's the area of the two rectangles
All you do is multiply the length witch is 4 and the width witch is 5 then do the sam thing to the other length and width.
20
yes
ok
good what about the other rectangle that has a length of 4 and width of 3
but the other one now you multiply 4 and 3
12
yes
now add them all together and you'll have the lateral surface area 16 + 20 + 12
48
I'm only n 8th so i thnk i can help ya
