Math hw y'all plz help! I'll attach a screenshot

So when we have two right triangles like this there's this formula so for the triangle I'm attaching \(\sf \dfrac{BC}{AC} = \dfrac{AC}{DC}\) and \(\sf \dfrac{BC}{AB} = \dfrac{AB}{DB}\) and \(\sf \dfrac{DC}{AD} = \dfrac{AD}{DB}\)
tysm but I got the wrong answer, I must have done something wrong
so for your question, it's the third proportion I wrote and if we set it up, it would be \(\sf \dfrac{SV}{ST} = \dfrac{ST}{SU}\) so can you plug in the numbers they gave you to solve for SV

\(\sf \dfrac{SV}{ST} = \dfrac{ST}{SU}\) ST = 4 SU = 7 can you solve for SV?
SV= 5.29?
how did you get that?
wait no SV = 2.29 and I got 5.29 bc I solved for ST somehow idk tho
yeah, there you go!
Tysm I really appreciate it
Of course! You just need to remember those proportions I sent you and if it doesn't make much sense, you can try going through this article where they explain it further with examples https://www.ck12.org/book/ck-12-geometry-second-edition/section/8.3/ https://calcworkshop.com/triangle-trig/similar-right-triangles/
