Shaypop:

If the preimage B(0, -5) were translated down 3, and right 1, which point would represent the image?

Shaypop:

B'(-3, -4) B'(1, -8) B'(3, -4) B'(-1, -2)

Honda:

have you tried drawing it? it sometimes helps to have a physical image of it.

Shaypop:

Ain’t no pic

Honda:

basically tho so your x values are right to left while y values are up and down. so for this its going down 3 on your y-axis and right 1 on your x-axis. so take your preimage B(0,-5) and minus 3 from your y value (-5) and add 1 to your x value (0)

Shaypop:

-8

Shaypop:

And 1

Honda:

your going to want to keep it in (x,y) so here i'll draw it out. it may help |dw:1616093750137:dw|

Shaypop:

1, -8

Honda:

yes
