I am kind of struggling here, it seems that there is absolute value in here, but w/ the 13= it is throwing me off. What type of math is it? From there I can see if I can help you or not.

The absolute value signs || mean that 3x + 5 can either be 13 or -13, so you’d set up two equations 3x + 5 = 13 And 3x + 5 = -13 and solve for both x-values
