I edited my gloomy Vermont short story.

Gloomy Vermont

Bea looked at sharp blade in her hands and felt depressed walking aimlessly around the old mansion waiting for the funeral to start. She walked to the large arched window by the entrance and reflected on how gloomy the hail was and how gloomy Vermont is. It was a place that encouraged people to feel depressed. Then Bea saw something slowly approaching in the distance no not something someone as the figure got closer bea realized in horror that it was John. John was a tall, handsome, and muscular a boy any girl would fall for but not bea she knew what horrors John was capable of besides she would never date a guy. Bea gulped looking at her reflection in the blade of her mother's Kinfe. Bea was small, skinny and short wearing a short black dress that fell just below her knees. As bea stepped outside into the gloomy hail and john came closer, she could see the murderous gleam in his eye. “Haven't you already done enough.”, Bea yelled. John chuckled, “I am here because I Want to finish what I started” John yelled. John tried to punch Bea in the stomach, but Bea dodged it causing John to fall to the ground. John quickly got up and looked like a bull that was about to charge. “you took her from me what more do you want.” Screamed Bea. “I want you dead” john screamed. Suddenly John lunged forward wrapped his hands around Beas’ neck quickly without thinking Bea brought the knife down on to John's skull. John’s legs trembled as he and bea fell to the floor. Bea unwrapped john’s hand from her neck and after dumping his body in the river went back inside and made herself a cup of tea.
