rxcklesskaisher:

area of polygons

rxcklesskaisher:

NatalieBM:

Do you know how to find the area of a Polygon

rxcklesskaisher:

b x l x w

rxcklesskaisher:

l x w x h

NatalieBM:

yeah that right then you divide by 1/2

NatalieBM:

Which is 2

rxcklesskaisher:

btw im trying to check my answer > 19

NatalieBM:

How did you get 19?

rxcklesskaisher:

adding them lol

NatalieBM:

Umm i think u need to multiply

rxcklesskaisher:

ok

rxcklesskaisher:

let m do det

NatalieBM:

And then divided by 1/2

rxcklesskaisher:

288

NatalieBM:

You forgot to divide

NatalieBM:

it is 144

rxcklesskaisher:

the area?

NatalieBM:

i am so confused now

NatalieBM:

@MrMudd183 did i tell him correctly?

MrMudd183:

Not quite, the area is L*W So here's what I would do... 1st I would split the shape into two shapes

rxcklesskaisher:

a square and a rectangle

MrMudd183:

Like so

MrMudd183:

After you split the shape, then you can figure out the lengths of both

MrMudd183:

Like in this one

MrMudd183:

After you do that, then you can find the area of the seperate shapes Then you combine them and get the total sum area of both shapes *or the irregular polygon*

MrMudd183:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @KynxKatz So the answer is 26 \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Correct, and good explination in the previous response you inputed

MrMudd183:

Does it make sense now @rxcklesskaisher ?

rxcklesskaisher:

yes

NatalieBM:

@rxcklesskaisher look at my dm i sent u

rxcklesskaisher:

i did

NatalieBM:
