Trees in extreme environments often have... * 1 point smooth bark to hold in moisture. rough bark to hold in nutrients. thin but smooth bark to let the tree breathe better. thick and rough bark to protect the tree.

ellaisyoung:

what abiut thsi one?

JamesTDG:

For that first one, their tail was formed through evolution to help their kind be able to stand upright, as can be seen with creatures like monkies. For the 2nd one, I believe that they try to keep themselves rough to hold in their nutrients. There is a good chance I could be false though, I have not had a biology class since middle school.
