darkknight:

basically a piecewise function. This one has 3 parts lets look at the first (left most) if you extend this line forever, what will you get? like what will the eqn of the line be, look at the slope and y intercept

iuytyuioiuytyuiop:

im not sure @darkknight

AZ:

If we find out the equation of just that first line, you can eliminate the rest of your answer choices and you'll be left with one correct answer What is the equation for the line that we get when x < -2 Is the slope positive or negative? I even extended the line to the y-intercept with the red markings. What is the y-intercept? Remember that the slope-intercept form is y = mx + b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept We're not actually calculating the slope but we just want to know if it's a positive or negative slope. Remember, if it's a positive slope it will be climbing up like a mountain If it's a negative slope, it will be going down from left to right like a slide
