which one of those has BOTH opposite and adjacent???
hamidiso23:
tan
AZ:
yes so that means
\( \tan \theta = \sf \dfrac{opposite}{adjacent}\)
hamidiso23:
yh
AZ:
so your opposite side is 15
your adjacent side is 10
so \(\tan \theta = \dfrac{15}{10}\)

1.5
AZ:
yes
now use the arctan or tan^-1 to calculate the angle
AZ:
so basically
\(\theta = arctan(1.5)\)
\(\theta = ?\)
AZ:
and remember to be in degrees not radians if you want your answer in degrees
hamidiso23:
my bad
