Well, by process of elimination, we can eliminate both the options that have something to do with the Spanish. According to the timeline, that happened almost 60 years after d'Iberville died. Now considering this, we have to choose between B and C.

Now the timeline doesn't say anything about traveling down the Mississippi river, looking into it further, traveling down the Mississippi happened before d'Iberville aswell, which just adds some validity to our elimination of B.

Which leaves just C, which is supported by our timeline as well.
