AZ:

it's simple subtraction (f-g)(x) = f(x) - g(x) so can you do it now?

iuytyuioiuytyuiop:

-2x^2+2x+3 - -4

iuytyuioiuytyuiop:

simplify -2x^2+2x+3?

AZ:

yeah simplify it remember - (-4) will make it + 4

iuytyuioiuytyuiop:

-4x+2x+3?

AZ:

no remember any number that goes with x^2 can only be added/subtracted to another number with x^2 so think of it like this x^2 is an apple x is an orange and your numbers are just numbers -2x^2+2x+3 + 4 we have -2 apples + 2 oranges + 3 + 4 can you add oranges and apples together? nope but you can add 3 and 4!! what is 3 + 4 = ?

AZ:
