@AZ
What is the MAD for company C's data?
so uh do you know the formula to calculate MAD? and do you have to show your work? ;b
i dont have to show meh work e.e
\[\text{MAD} = \dfrac{\sum |x - \overline{X}| }{n}\]
basically you would have to find the difference between each number and the mean and add all those numbers up and then divide by the total number of numbers or you can just use a calculator https://www.easycalculation.com/statistics/mean-absolute-deviation.php
you have 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 10, 12, 14, 14 and throw it into the calculator and ta-da ;b
100?
how'd you get that? just copy paste the list of numbers into the calculator
i added 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 10, 12, 14, 14 to get 100
no you don't add the numbers if you're trying to calculate it yourself you have to take each number and subtract the mean from it the mean was 10, they said it in the image so 6 - 10 = 7 - 10 = 8 - 10 = 9 - 10 = 10 - 10 = 10 - 10 = 10 - 10 = 12 - 10 = 14 - 10 = 14 - 10 =
how do i minus 6 from 10?
do i use negative ?
yes negative numbers
ah kk tyy
Or you can put all the numbers and press calculate and it'll do all the work for you
ty
yw
but it got 2
that is correct(:
if you manually wanted to do it 6 - 10 = -4 7 - 10 = -3 8 - 10 = -2 9 - 10 = -1 10 - 10 = 0 10 - 10 = 0 10 - 10 = 0 12 - 10 = 2 14 - 10 = 4 14 - 10 = 4 and we have to take the absolute value of each number and then add them up 4 + 3 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 4 + 4 = 20 and then since we have a total of 10 numbers 20/n = 20/10 = 2 MAD = 2
ah seems lil complicated but tysm
that's why, trust the calculators xD but you're very welcome!
