@AZ

jas2024:

Do you know how to use elimination ?

Sweetie145:

um yes

jas2024:

Then that's how you get your answer .

Sweetie145:

ok

jas2024:

do yu need help with it or do yu understand ?

Sweetie145:

need help

itsmehjay:

So what you do first is to combine your like terms. 11x and -4x are like terms but there on the opposite sides so you need to bring over the -4x by adding 4x in order to eliminate it.

itsmehjay:

11x + 4x = ?

Sweetie145:

15x

itsmehjay:

Alrighty ;p

itsmehjay:

wait is this one equation or 2??..

itsmehjay:

are you supposed to be solving by substitution or by elimination? @Sweetie145

itsmehjay:

because i got a bit confused..

Sweetie145:

elimination

itsmehjay:

oh ok sorry

Sweetie145:

np

itsmehjay:

Theres more like terms that need to be combined. -8y and 3y are both like terms. So what's -8y + 3y?
