mykenzie:

Which of the following correctly compares infrared rays and microwaves? a. Microwaves have a longer wavelength. b. Infrared waves have a shorter frequency. c. Microwaves have the same energy as infrared waves. d. Infrared waves have the same frequency as microwaves.

nettym:

Do you have any ideas/thoughts on what the answer may be?

mykenzie:

d

nettym:

okay so that would be incorrect because there are no waves have the same frequency. Any other guesses? @mykenzie

mykenzie:

sorry I'm doing 2 questions i think it is c

nettym:

So looking at A- 'Microwaves have a longer wavelength.' we can automatically eliminate that because microwaves have a SHORTER wavelength, so now you are left with B & C, any guesses?

nettym:

C would be incorrect because microwaves have more energy than infrared rays, so your answer will be B- Infrared waves have a shorter frequency. Good job tho! :)

kittybasil:

Wait, what?

kittybasil:

No problem... you didn't have to quote me though, I still get the notifications when someone posts on a thread I've participated in. Just for future posts :-) you have a good day too!
