help I will post the ss below
@AZ
I suggest graphing it, and then finding hte vertex of it, it's an integer, which will be easy to find
If you have the equation \( ax^2 + bx + c = 0\) Then the vertex is going to be \(\left( -\dfrac{b}{2a}, f\left(-\dfrac{b}{2a}\right)\right)\)
for your equation of \(p(x) = \color{red}{-2}x^2 + \color{cyan}{145}x \) -2 is your 'a' and 145 is your 'b' So the x-value of your vertex or the # of shirts to maximize profit would be -b/2a so what is -b/2a if b is 145 and a is -2
I have no idea
Plug them into the expression -b/2a, when b is 145 and a is -2
I have to complete a lot of work..can you just give me the answer?
just do the math -b / 2a -145 / - 2 = ??
72.5
wait oops -b / 2a -145/ (2*-2) = so -145/ - 4 = ??
36.25
so the first option
Yup!
because we have to do whole number of shirts so we would round down
