This one should be much easier to do so we have y = 1/3 f(x - 3) - 5 so let's figure out what the point on our new graph will be when x = 0 so plug it in 1/3 f(0-3) - 5 what is f(-3) remember this is going to be on our original dotted graph find the y-value when x = -3

good so we get 1/3 (3) - 5 what is 1/3 * 3 and then subtract 5 from it that number you get will be the y-value of our new graph when x = 0

that doesn't look right, it shouldn't have flipped one sec

hmm let's see what we get if we plug in x = 6 1/3 f(6-3) - 5 1/3 f(3) - 5 1 - 5 = -4 (6 ,-4)

yeah, somehow the way you plotted those two points made it face the wrong direction so I guess move the dot that's on (3, -5) and move it to (6, -4) and then move that point on (0, -4) and move it to (3, -5)

I think it set the vertex as (0, -4) and which is why the graph ended up looking like that but the vertex is actually (3, -5) so you have to move that dot to (3, -5) for it to be the vertex
