math problem
This one you do, what can you say about the transformations
f(x-3) - 1 what transformations are we doing here
im not sure
We have worked through so many, what does (x-3) inside the function f tell us? what about the -1 on the outside? are there any dilations?
im not sure
that's not gonna fly here, how much have you understood from all the other similar questions you asked?
what does (x-3) inside the function f tell us? what about the -1 on the outside? are there any dilations?
dilations means its negative?
???
what is negative? remember about the reflecting if the sign is negative, we dilate when we had something like f(3(x-1)) where we would dilate by compressing by 3 times. Ive already mentioned all of this
multiple times*
yep we dilate
vertically...? horizontally....? Where? What? Why???
vertically
uhhhhhhhhh
oh my bad, i was sneezing, anyways why would we dilate this vertically? we are given f(x-3) - 1
which means horzontially?
how about you look back at all the questions you asked and see where you dilated and where you did not, if you did not know you could have asked much earlier. anyways reflect on the other questions you asked
sorry im not sure
Have you not been following along over all the questions you have asked? Dude im not gonna spoon feed you, You must have some idea on what to do here. And dont just randomly guess you should say something like I think we should do __________ because _________. Then I can check over it

lemme help instead
please dont explain the steps to him/her. Im trying to teach
And see if they have learned the process
ok but @jnlkmnjkm, have you learnt anything from what dknight explained to you? and he did it several times if am not wrong?
im sorry can we learn again
ok, you see we got that x minus 3 inside the parentheses right?
yep
that means we are moving from out origin, which is 0,0, RIGHT 3
alright i see
the -1, which comes after, tels us that we are moving negative 1 DOWN the Y axis*
so that would be
yep
so, all cleared up?
THATS ALLL!!!!!!
thats all?!
is that all
that is it...
THHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANKS
you got it!
