Which statement is true about surface waves? The disturbance is only perpendicular to the motion of the wave. The disturbance does not have a specific motion. The disturbance is only parallel to the motion of the wave. The disturbance is in a circular motion.
i know its a dumb question, but i just want to check my answer. i think its either the 2nd one or the 4th. I'm just not sure.
still need help?
ya.
right, so how many types of surface waves do we have?
um. the lesson never mentioned how many types there were before...
odd -- neway, we have got 2 types of them the q waves, and rayleigh waves
ok.
the q waves HAVE GOT ONLY transverse motion the rayleigh waves have both longitudinal and transverse motion
ok.
so, what does that tell you?
so, not a specific motion, since its both?
pretty much, yeah
ok. thank you so so much! <3
