It isn't impossible, if you drink too much water than needed it will cause water intoxication, and you will be over hydrated. It is rare though.

yes, unfortunately happened to a man, who was daredd to drink around 10 gallons of water, to get into a frat house, said he needed to stop, they wouldnt let him, and he died, super tragic :(
