the way u create a story line would be to come up with 2 chracters and to start off ur story just like that start off "once upon a time" which is comonly used for a fairy tale but u can also u use other start offs

what topics in life interest you, what life do you want to live? when i write a story, i make sure its ab some thing i love or am interested in, so that i am engaged in my story as im writing it

Your basic story line can be anyone.  Whatever seems to fit you most.  You also have to persuade the audience who are reading your story line.
