Assume that a password to log onto a computer account is to consist of three letters followed by two digits. Determine the number of possible passwords if repetition is not permitted and if repetition is permitted
then i would not knoww... sorry hun..
we know that from 0 to 9 there are 10 different options
lets assume that the pc user, is a brit/american, so there will be 26 possible letters
summing it, we get 10+26 = 36 possible characters PER 1 digit
so, any ideas?
the user has to insert 4 digits all that said, we get \[ 36^4 \]
use the calculator, and voila!
you winning? @thony
